<aside> 📌 One of the biggest challenges that potential issuers face as they begin their journey into launching their first equity crowdfunding campaign is:
How am I going to know if my community will be interested in my raise?
The best way to gauge community interest in both a compliant and efficient manner is through a Test the Water’s Page (TTW). Through TTW pre-launch emails or TTW reservation sign-ups you will be able to gather a following of users who you can contact right away when you launch to help build momentum.

Below, you will learn about the requirements & strategies for creating a successful Test the Waters campaign.
Whether you are building a page for reserving shares or just letting your community know there is an offering on its way!

If your TTW materials are deemed non-compliant the following results may occur: Cooling Period: Communications may be considered "prepping the market" and the issuer may have to go through a 30-day cooling period. Recirculate Corrected Material: An issuer may also have to recirculate a corrected version of the non-compliant material, highlight the error and deliver it through the same channels. Prohibited from Offering: Depending on the severity of the violation, StartEngine reserves the right to prohibit you from launching on our platform.
